  Dr. West had performed 2 nose surgeries on me. I found this office and technology antiquated and his front staff to be very rude upon my 3rd visit, 10 years after my first surgery. What he won't tell you when you go in, is that your nose is cartilage and it moves back over time. After the first deviated septum, I fell on my pain meds and broke it only 2 weeks after the first surgery. He corrected it again only 1 week after. The second surgery was a failure, as the nose was too inflamed, and immedietly my nose was back to a deviated state. Fast forward to 2016, when I went into a consultation, he immediately assessed it was back in a deviated state. His front office staff was very rude. Having thrown my records away, had no history of me as a patient. I opted to go to San Francisco to have my 3rd nose surgery, as I had 2 failed nose surgeries under Bud West. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion for your nose surgery. My insurance covered out of state, and I was operated on with the newest technology available. I had better splints, my recovery time was 1/2 that it was when Bud West did my surgery. Better technology is available! His office has dust collector knick nacks, that haven't changed since 2003. His operating room, as he is close to retiring im sure has had no improvements since the last decade. The cherry on top, was my cat scans were sent to his office, as he was the ordering doctor when I saw him for a second opinion. His office sent me a letter my cat scans were completely normal. The cat scan image was of my nose as a "s" shape. After the initial visit just 2 weeks before where he informed me my nose was back in a deviated state. This office lacks attention to detail, record keeping and in my experience overall professionalism. They are a chop shop for noses because in Reno you are limited In options. I strongly encourage you to find a more modern doctor to fix your nose. You will not be happy with the results. After several surgeries playing around, your cartilage won't be good and they will have to get it out of your ear or rib cage. The possibility your nose will move back is high! Also, he at one point wanted to drill holes in my sinuses to help drain them, as I have a history of sinus infections. The sinus expert in sfo, said this would have been 100% unnessesary, after I had a nasal scope they put down my nose to look into my sinuses. This technology isn't available to Bud West. He would have done irreversible damage to my nose had I not gotten a second and third opinion. Don't risk it here!
